Donna Dumitrescu

My name is Donna, and I am an undergraduate student in my third year of Psychology at the University of Regina. I am currently conducting research with Dr. Natasha Gallant as part of a SCPOR undergraduate traineeship on ageism and resilience among middle-aged adults through the Aging, Residents, and Caregivers Research Unit. I am a volunteer in the Social Context, Health, and Trauma Lab, as well as the community engagement director for the Arcola East Community Association. I plan on pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with a research focus of social psychology, health psychology, or counselling psychology.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing volleyball, and going to the gym. I am interested in the interactions between people of different ages, and how these impact general well-being. My goal within my work in psychology is to use psychological knowledge and empirical evidence to promote well-being in everyday people on a physical, social, and psychological level.

Current study: Middle-Aged Resiliency and Resistance Study (MARRS): A Qualitative Study of the Influence of Ageism and Age-Inclusivity on the Midlife Years

Amara Kohlert

My name is Amara Kohlert and I am a third year Arts student pursing a degree in Psychology. I am very passionate about my studies, and I am looking forward to being able to apply my education after graduation by helping people. As a student ambassador, I strive to get involved on campus as much as possible through volunteering. Outside of school, I work part-time as a server and play on a recreational volleyball team. When I have time to myself, I enjoy channeling my energy into creativity through journaling, painting, and crafting.

As a volunteer within the lab, I take on whatever roles required to help make the researchers’ lives a little bit easier!
